I’m Kim Baxter.  I started Kissycake Bags in 2002.  At first, I was the only one making the bags in my sewing room on my Singer sewing machine.  Since then, the company has blossomed and I have had to step things up a notch.

The characters are now professionally screen-printed onto the bags here in Portland, Oregon.  I still sew the shell of the bag, the lining, and the strap myself.  The strap is double stitched onto the bag for extra durability.

Kissycake Bags can be used in a variety of ways.  They can be used as a school bag, a bag for work, an everyday bag, a beach bag, a record-shopping bag, or even as a diaper bag.

I have recently expanded the Kissycake line to include apparel and buttons.  My overall goal with Kissycake is to create products that are fun, useful, and will last a long time. I love working with high quality, bright colored fabrics and designing characters that make people smile.

When I’m not sewing and designing, I’m playing music with my band, All Girl Summer Fun Band (www.agsfb.com), recording music, and raising my new baby boy.

I would love to hear from you.  If you have any questions or comments, feel free to write me at k@kissycake.com
